The Vanua XV team presented their itatau to His Excellency Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote on Monday, 29th October 2018 at Borron House.

Speaking to the team, the Head of State encouraged the men to see this tour as an opportunity to improve their performance knowing the competitiveness of the Kiwi clubs. “Nothing is impossible if you put your mind and spirit into the game and I believe you will do great in New Zealand,”. The team will be leaving tomorrow for their New Zealand tour. The Vodafone Vanua XV rugby team is confident of raising the standard of local rugby after the Fiji Airways Drua side set a benchmark in the weekend as the first non- Australian team to win the National Rugby Championship.
