The Ambassador of People's Republic of China presents Credential

His Excellency Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote received the credentials of the new Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Qian Bo on Tuesday, 23rd January at Borron House, Suva.

Ambassador Bo presented his credentials after inspecting a 25-member guard of honour by officers from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces. The Ambassador holds a Doctorate in Economics and joined the Foreign Service in 1990 as an attaché at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China where he served in various capacities. Ambassador Bo had been posted to various missions overseas including being the Chinese Counsellor to the World Trade Organisation in Switzerland in 2006 and as Consulate General to Istanbul, Turkey in 2016.
