Swearing-in Ceremony for New Resident Magistrate of the High Court.

Fiji’s judiciary welcomed an additional Magistrate into its ranks following the swearing-in ceremony of the new Resident Magistrate of the High Court on Friday, 27th July at the State House, Suva.

Magistrate Kasthurirathne Delpathe Yapa Mudiyanselage Nayani Nirmala Kasthurirathne joins the Magistrate Court in Fiji after her appointment was formalised by the Head of State before the Chief Justice Judge Anthony Gates, Chief Registrar Yohan Liyanage and Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili. Ms. Nayani Kasturiratne holds a Master of Laws and a Bachelor of Laws and has served as former State Counsel of the Attorney General’s Department in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She had served as Attorney-at-Law in 2006 and was a private practicing lawyer in the fields of Criminal law, Civil law and Commercial law.
