Non-Resident Ambassador of Ecuador Presents Credentials.

His Excellency Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote received the credentials from Ecuador’s first Non-Resident Ambassador to Fiji, His Excellency Juan Salazar Sancisi on Tuesday, 17th July.

His Excellency the President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote receives the Letter of Credence from the Ecuador non-resident Ambassador to Fiji, His Excellency Juan Salazar Sancisi at Borron House, Suva.

Ambassador Salazar, who is a career diplomat, was appointed as Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador to the Commonwealth of Australia in February 2017. He had previously served as Ambassador to Hungary, Bulgaria, France, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines and the Russian Federation. Ambassador Salazar was also the Deputy Permanent Representative of Ecuador to the United Nations in New York and to UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna. Ambassador Salazar obtained a degree in Economics and has a Master’s Degree in Integration Law and in International Economic Law. In his academic career, Ambassador Salazar has been a Professor of Negotiation and Integration at the Andean University and the International Universality of Ecuador, where he was a member of the Directory of the Ecuadorian Centre for International Studies. Ambassador Salazar was accorded the military guard of honour at Borron House. Ambassador Sancisi is resident in Canberra, Australia
