His Excellency Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote received a courtesy call from the People’s Republic of China Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Zheng Zeguang on Friday, 13th July at Borron House, Suva.
His Excellency the President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote welcomes the People’s Republic of China Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Zheng Zeguang at Borron House, Suva.
The two met and acknowledged the long standing bilateral relations between Fiji and China and hoped for the further strengthening relations betwenn the nations. President Konrote and Vice Minister Zeguang also exchanged gifts. Vice Minister Zeguang has served in various positions within China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also served as China’s second secretary to the United States of America from 1994 to 1997 and served as Director General in the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs from 2005 to 2008.
