His Excellency Officiates as Chief Guest at the Vaka Pasifiki Education Conference at USP, Laucala Campus, Suva.

His Excellency the President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote with the officials of USP and guests of the Vaka Pasifiki Education Conference at USP Laucala Campus, Suva.
This was the message highlighted by the President Major-General (Ret'd) Jioji Konrote at the Vaka Pasifiki Education Conference held on Thursday, 05th July at the University of the South Pacific.
"As educators you all have pivotal roles to play in the success of the Pacific people and our nations." His Excellency acknowledged participants at the conference for their passion in education and being able to attend to discuss issues regarding education in the region. He stated that discussions held will be important as participants will also need to look at challenges faced and how to address them collectively. Vaka Pasifiki is a conference that provides an opportunity for the sharing of ideas, presentation of research and best practice, and discussion of issues relevant to teacher education, educational policy and practice, and teaching and learning in Oceania.
