The President Officiates as Chief Guest at the Closing of the Bula Fiji Interhash.

His Excellency Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote closed the Bula 21st Interhash in Nadi.
His Excellency the President of the Republic of Fiji presents a gift to a participant.
The President of the Republic of Fiji thanked the over 1,700 hashers from over 60 countries who participated in the event held from 25th – 27th May. The hashers also raised over $40, 000 for Nadi Hospital as part of their charity work in the country. "We trust that you have enjoyed running through the eight sites from Momi to Lomolomo, in some of our greener and beautiful terrain. I am delighted that we were able to showcase a part of Fiji to you all," he said.
Nadi Interhash had been actively bidding to host the event for 10 years, until they finally won the bid beating much larger bidders such as Indonesia and Malaysia. Becoming host is epic for the nation as it makes Fiji the first county in the Pacific region to host such an event.
