i-Tatau Presentation by the Fiji National Under- 20 and Under-18 Rugby Teams.

His Excellency Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote received the i-tatau presented by the Fiji National Under 20 Mens rugby team and the Fiji National Under 18 Men and Womens team. The i-tatau ceremony was conducted on Wednesday, 18th April, 2018 at Borron House, Suva.
His Excellency Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote and Madam First Lady Sarote Konrote with the Under 20 men’s rugby team outside Borron House, Suva.
Present for the itatau with the players were the Team Manager, Mr. Sale Sorovaki and other Fiji Rugby Union officials.
His Excellency when receiving the i-tatau conveyed his well wishes to the Under 20 and Under 18 men’s rugby team as well as the Under 18 women’s rugby team. The President urged all players to support each other at the Rugby Championship. Speaking on behalf of the nation, he said, “You are going as a team and not as individuals. You also go as sports ambassadors for our country. You carry the reputation of our nation on your shoulders. Please do this with dignity and honour. As ambassadors of the country, you will compete against other countries and I urge each of you to practice good sportsmanship.”
The under 18 men’s and women’s teams will be competing in the Oceania Under 18 7's Tournament in Australia on the 21 and 22 April. The tournament is the qualifying competition for the 2018 Youth Olympics that will be held in Argentina in October, 2018.
Under 20 men’s team are competing in Australia for the Oceania Under 20 competition from the 27th April to 4th May, 2018.
