Israeli President visits Fiji

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin visited Fiji enroute to an official engagement in Australia.
His Excellency Major-General (Ret'd) presenting President Rivlin with a 'lali' - traditional wooden Fijian gong/drum used to convey messages including summoning a Paramount Chief's tribe to prepare for important events. The gift was carved from a Mahogany Tree, planted in the Presidential Compound in Suva.
The Israeli President with the Fijian Prime Minister led a summit meeting in Nadi that was attended by leaders from Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Vanuatu, Tonga, Palau and Tuvalu.
Fiji's President, His Excellency Major-General (Ret'd) Jioji Konusi Konrote hosted the President Rivlin and his officials to dinner at the Pullman Nadi Bay Resort, Nadi on Thursday, 20th February, 2020. The dinner was also attended by the summit meeting participants and Senior Officials of the Fijian Government.
