Nauru President pays Courtesy Call to State House

His Excellency Major-General (Ret'd) Jioji Konrote received the courtesy call from the Nauru President.
His Excellency Mr. Lionel Rouwen Aingimea presenting His Excellency Major-General (Ret'd) Jioji Konrote with a gift at the State House.
His Excellency acknowledged the long-standing bilateral relations between the two nations. The courtesy call formalities was followed by the exchanging of gifts. Shortly thereafter, a tree planting ceremony was conducted where both Heads of State planted a native tree called Pritchardia pacifica, the Fijian fan palm on the State House grounds. This further signifies the mutual efforts of both nations in the fight against the destruction of climate change.
