The President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote received a courtesy call from the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Fiji, His Excellency Qian Bo at the Executive Office.
Ambassador Bo presents a gift to President Konrote.
The courtesy call primarily focused on the presentation of a book from Ambassador Bo on behalf of the President of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Xi Jinping to the President of the Republic of Fiji.
The courtesy call formalities were followed by the exchanging of gifts between their Excellencies.
President Konrote acknowledged the long-standing bilateral relations between the two nations. Fiji and China have enjoyed cordial relations since the establishment of diplomatic collaborations in 1975
