The President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote conveyed his well wishes to the National Netball Team during the team’s i-tatau on Wednesday 3rd July, 2019 at the State House Conservatory.

The Fiji Pearls team was encouraged by the Head of State to perform their utmost best as they played against some of the best in the world.
His Excellency further reiterated, "This is the youngest team to take part in the World Cup and while you are playing, try to learn as much as you can. …You are going to be our future sports ambassadors. Respect your opponents and be thankful and humble in victory".
