The President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote received the traditional i-tatau presentation from the Fiji Airways Sevens (7s) Team to the 2019/2020 HSBC 7s Series and the Development Team to the Oktoberfest 7s on behalf of Government and the People of Fiji at the State House on Friday September 13,2019.
The President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Major- General (Ret'd) Jioji Konusi Konrote receives the presentation of i-tatau from the Fiji Airways Sevens Team at the State House.
President Konrote warmly welcomed and acknowledged the Men’s 7s team for the gallant performance and victory at the HSBC World Rugby 7s 2018-2019 Series
Whilst addressing the team. His Excellency said, “Fiji is no longer just a dot on the global map, we may be small in physical landmass but we are giants when it comes to the world stage whether it is in sports, entertainment or politics Fiji punches way above its belt in achievements.”
His Excellency acknowledged the immense support and sacrifice made by Coach, Management and families of the respective players.
