Commissioning Ceremony for Fiji's High Commissioner to the Republic of Indonesia.

The President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Major- General (Ret'd Jioji Konusi Konrote commissioned Fiji's Ambassador Designate to the Republic of Indonesia, Mrs. Seleima Veisamasama on Friday, 9th February, 2018, at Borron House, Suva.

His Excellency the President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote, Madam First Lady Sarote Konrote, Her Excellency Seleima Veisamasama with four of her children.

Ambassador took an Oath of Allegiance and Oath of Execution of Office at Borron House before the President, senior Government Officials and member of the Ambassador Designate's immediate family members.

Prior to her diplomatic appointment, Ambassador Veisamasama was a former school teacher with 38 years experience in the education sector. She is a passionate educator for the fight against substance abuse, awareness of HIV and AIDS and the prevention of teenage pregnancy in Fiji. She has also worked with non- government organisations including World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in 2006.

Ambassador Veisamasama attained a Bachelor of Science and Diploma in Education from the University of the South Pacific (USP) including a Certificate in Diplomacy and International Relations. She is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Certificate in Governance in USP.

Ambassador Veisamasama has three [3] sons and two [2] daughters.
