Outgoing United States of America Ambassador Bids Farewell to Fiji.

The President of the Republic of Fiji, His Excellency Major- General (Ret'd) Jioji Konusi Konrote received a farewell courtesy call from the outgoing United States of America (US) Ambassador to Fiji, Ms. Judith Cefkin on Friday, 16 February, 2018.

His Excellency Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote with Outgoing United States Ambassador to Fiji, Ms Judith Cefkin during the farewell call at Borron House, Suva.

During the meeting at Borron House, His Excellency acknowledged  the relief assistance provided by the US Government during the rehabilitation efforts in the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Winston in 2016 and the US  ever present assistance whenever needed for development assistance.

His Excellency further wished Ms. Cefkin well in her future endeavours. Ms. Cefkin mentioned that Fiji and the United States shared a lot of history and that her time spent in Fiji was a memorable one.

While based in Fiji, the outgoing Ambassador was also accredited to Kiribati, Nauru, Tonga and Tuvalu.
