President attends Samoa's 56th Anniversary

The President, His Excellency Major-General (Ret'd) Jioji Konrote will represent Fiji at Samoa's 56th anniversary of Independence on Friday 1 June 2018.
His Excellency flew to Samoa today and will return on Sunday 3 June.
The Acting Chief Justice, Justice Daniel Gounder, will act as President.Whilst in Samoa, His Excellency will pay courtesy calls on both the Head of State His Highness Tuimalealiifano Sualauvi II, and the Head of Government Honourable Tuilaepa Malielegaoi, thus continuing to strengthen the two nations' relations at the highest diplomatic level.
His Excellency is accompanied by the First Lady, his Official Secretary Pene Baleinabuli and Principal Foreign Service Officer Vilikesa Naivalucava.
