President to attend USP Nauru Campus Graduation

His Excellency departed for Nauru today via Brisbane and is expected to pay a courtesy call on the President of Nauru, His Excellency Baron Divavesi Waqa, on Thursday 24 May.

Fiji's Chief Justice, the Honourable Justice Anthony Gates, will act as President.

His Excellency returns to Fiji on Sunday 27 May.

His Excellency is accompanied by the First Lady Sarote Konrote, Fiji's Roving Ambassador in the Pacific, Ambassador Ratu Tui Cavuilati, and His Official Secretary Pene Baleinabuli.

This will be Nauru's inaugural graduation ceremony, which is taking place as USP celebrates its 50th anniversary. USP established its first campus in Suva before progressively opening campuses in several other member countries including Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, Samoa, Tuvalu, Nauru and Kiribati, among others.
